1 Month

My sweet baby boy is one month old today!
At one month, you:
-weigh 11 pounds, I'm in love with your little rolls
-wear size 1 diapers
-wear 3 month clothes, most newborn clothes are way too tight!
-nurse about every hour and a half or two hours
-go to bed about ten, and wake up at 3 and 6, then back to sleep until 930ish
-you've become so alert & you love to look around (especially at things that have a glare)
-your eyes are still blue-ish grey
-your skin is still way darker than mommy and daddy's
-you don't always like to take a pacifier
-you've already celebrated two holidays! Easter & St. Patrick's day!
-you've been to St. Louis and Illinois
-swaddling is not your favorite (because..
-you love to sleep with your arms up by your head - TOUCHDOWN!
-you hold your head up when you're on your tummy
-you've rolled from your tummy to your back one time
-you smile the most handsome smile while you're asleep
-you love sleeping in the car in your seat
- you've started looking right at mommy and daddy

You have brought a whole new kind of love into my life, and I will always feel this way for you. You have softened momma's heart. You are so loved by so many people. All of your grandparents are absolutely smitten over you! You make every day an exciting and bright day for all of us. We are having so much fun watching you change (seems to be in weight these days) and learn new things each day. I wish time could slow down just a little. I am not wishing any of these sweet new moments with you away. I can wait on the walking, crawling, talking, sleeping through the night, etc., because today, with you and daddy, is perfect. I know daddy wants you to roll the ball back to him, but he can wait too. He loves it when you two take naps together. We usually spend our days lounging around and cuddling, you fit perfectly in our arms. Mommy is lacking on the house chores, but that will have to wait because I never want to put you down, sweet boy. Mommy and Daddy could not have imagined or prayed for a more perfect, handsome, and healthy little boy. You are our sunshine.
